My roommate Hunter runs a podcast called encyclopedia podcastica. Its purpose is to explain how things work. If you listen to his podcast you will experience him explaining the information to his audience but what you don’t experience is the learning process. I am his roommate so I experience this part of the process and the things that come up can be pretty strange sometimes. I am going to tell the stories here, I guess I will start off with one of the funnier examples:

I just got back from my first major! Norcal regionals was an awesome experience and I cannot wait for next year. I managed to get 4th place in the Skullgirls side tournament, play a ton of UMVC3, and meet some awesome new people while also getting to hang out with some very cool players.
I hear new fighting game players often claim that they don’t have the execution to do higher level combos easily. I also felt this when I first started. The reality is that no one starts out being able to just do sick Dante combos in Umvc3 or hit 1-2 frame links in Street Fighter every time. They had to work for it.

I would like to address the first point.
